Holly and the wedding

Friends getting married at Christmas - what a super excuse to make a Christmas related wedding card.
Isn't it amazing how the colours look different with the flash - but I wanted to show off all the holly related papers, so I've shared one with and one without.

The image is from Tiddly Inks.  I love it and is just so nice to colour.

This is going in to the following challenges:

Clean and Simple at Creative Corner
Gold and White at Sketchy Colors (and a little bit of crafty red and grey)

Thanks as always for downing your crafting tools.

Less windy wishes would be more appropriate.

What a horror of a wet and windy December we're having here in the UK.  Great for card making, not so great for anything else.

I'm using this lovely image from A Random Fan again.  She's just lovely.

The sketch is number 227 from Sketch Saturday.

So as well as Sketch Saturday, this one is going in to the following too:

Thanks for downing your crafting tools for a wee while.

A winter's birthday

Isn't it great when you can make your own cards and add a seasonal twist to suit the month ?
This digi has quickly gone in to my favourite list.  She's from A Random Fan.

And this is my card...

From one winning card to another...

I ran a handmade Christmas card competition this week and the managers judged them.  This one got second place, which will do just nicely, and what with winning over at Sassy Cheryl's last week, well I feel good.

Talking of Sassy Cheryl, I used another of her digis for this one:

The sketch is courtesy of Sketch and Stash.  My Christmas trees were my neglected stash.  I've had them for years and found them when I was looking for something else.

So in to the following challenges for this as well as Sketch and Stash.

Red and Green at Sketchy Colours
Anything Goes at Sassy Cheryl's
Feeling Festive at Divas by Design
Traditional Christmas at Creative Corner

I'm pleased to say I found the time for making this one though.  This is using a digi from Sassy Cheryl.

Need a drink...

I feel I've mislaid my creativity somewhere.  I'm afraid this is a thrown together card, and artificial light doesn't help either. Can you see the glitter along the rim of the glass, and the lacquer in the glass ?  Daylight for the next photos.

Image courtesy of Bugaboo - thank you.

Sketch is from Sketch and Stash.  My neglected items were the odd bits of papers that have been hanging around in my "dump" box.  You know - the box of bits you just can't throw !

Let's see how I can do in the other challenges too:
Geeks at Passion for Promarkers
Humour at Dream Valley
Anything goes at Catch the Bug
Glitter at Just Inspirational (along the rim of the glass - trust me it's there !)
All that glitters at I Love Promarkers  (see above !)

Thanks for putting down your crafting tools - I think I should have !

Sometimes you just want simple...

...this card is for my biking buddy Paul.  I was lucky enough to ride around the UK with Paul and our friend Lee.  Little old me went away with two married men.  Luckily I'm friendly with their wives too!  We were inspired to do it after reading the Long Way Round - a book and documentary on Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman's motorbike travels.  I've very fond memories of that trip.

Anyway I won the stamp from Bugaboo and it met my needs totally.  I had such a simple idea in my head, and it's worked a treat.  I love the cats eyes too.

So let's see how I do in the following challenges:
Books at Creative Creations (Long Way Round) (11/11)
Anything Goes at I Love ProMarkers (6/11)
No Design or Digi Papers at Moving Along with the Times (7/11)
For the Boys at C.R.A.F.T (6/11)
Textures at Creative Corner (textured card, and lacquered goggles and headlight)  (6/11)
Shaped Card at Sweet Stampin' (9/11)

Thanks for downing your crafting tools for a mo.

My first guest designer post...

Did I tell you I won over at ABC Challenges and I was asked to come back as a guest designer ? Oh I did ! Oh well ! Here's my card for their blog.

I am placing it in to the following challenges too:
Sketch and neglected at Sketch N Stash (Digi stamp) (21/10)
Autumn colours at Allsorts (12/10)

Nautical but nice...

Summer's departing quicker than I had hoped.  My jobs outside need some more dry weather please.  Every rain cloud has a silver lining, and that means I get guilt free crafting sessions instead.

Thanks to Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the sketch.  I've been a bit naughty and played with it slightly.

So, this is off in to Sweet Sketch Wednesday's challenge as well as the following:

Colours of summer at Stampin' for the Weekend
Got the blues at Sweet Stampin'
Anything goes at Papertake Weekly
Anything goes at Paper Crafting Journey

Thursday 29 August 2013

Let's christen this image...

I've been asked for a Christening card for two young toddler girls.  Not being religious myself, that was a tough call as I'm not drawn to those kind of images.  But this image from Tiddly Inks fitted nicely in to my idea.

I'm entering this one in to the following challenges:

Recipe at Passion for Promarkers
For a child at Dream Valley
Things with wings at Cute Card Thursday
Spots, dots at One Stop

Thanks for downing your crafting tools and stopping on my page.

All that glitters...

A sunny bank holiday and I'm in card making.  Naughty !

Allsorts used the challenge of using acetate this week.  So, I've used it in the mat and layering.  I also sprayed a piece with glitter, and stuck it over the coloured image from Tiddly Inks.  Works quite well me thinks.

So let's see how we do in the following challenges:

Acetate at Allsorts

Sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Fave colour combo Passion for Promarkers (blues and pinks)
Self Sticky at Fab'n'Funky (pearls were self-stick)

Thanks for downing your crafting tools and popping by.
